The eucalyptus essential oil has a fresh, sharp, camphoraceous scent with woody, balsamic hints. It has antibacterial properties. When inhaled, it gives you fresh energy, invigorates and improves concentration. Its camphor scent clears the airways. Its skin-refreshing and microcirculation-enhancing properties make it useful in cosmetic products for muscle relaxation and dandruff control.
Usage: Add 5-8 drops to water in an aroma diffuser. For dry inhalation, put 1-2 drops on a tissue and inhale the fragrance 2-3 cm from the nose. For a refreshing aromatherapy bath, mix 8-10 drops in 1 teaspoon of avocado oil, cream or honey and add to a bath of water. For a cooling, refreshing scrub or massage, mix 4-6 drops in 1 tablespoon of avocado or jojoba oil and massage into the skin. To make a mouthwash, pour 1 teaspoon of 70% alcohol into a glass, add 1-2 drops of essential oil, then mix with 2 tablespoons of lukewarm water.
Warning: For external use only. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes. May cause skin sensitivity, so test skin before use. Do not apply undiluted essential oils on the skin. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Do not use it on open wounds, during pregnancy and breastfeeding and on children under the age of 12. Do not drip directly on burning candles. For saunas, do not drip it directly on hot stones, first dilute it with water.
