Argan oil

Argan oil

INCI name: Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil

Argan oil is made from the seeds of the Moroccan argan tree (Argania spinosa), which is typically found in Morocco but also occurs in other areas of North Africa. The production of argan oil is a long and labor-intensive process that can be done by roasting or cold pressing. Roasted oil is used for food purposes, while cold-pressed oil is used as a raw material for cosmetic and skin care products. Its color is light yellow or slightly greenish, depending on the roasting method.

The effect of argan oil on the skin:
Argan oil has an extremely beneficial effect on the skin and has become one of the most popular skin care ingredients in recent years. The natural ingredients of the oil help to hydrate, nourish, regenerate and protect the skin, while also relieving many skin problems.

One of the most important properties of argan oil is that it deeply moisturizes the skin. The oil is rich in essential fatty acids (mainly oleic and linoleic acids), which prevent water from evaporating from the skin. As it is easily absorbed, it does not leave a greasy feeling, but effectively locks in moisture in the skin. Thanks to its high vitamin E content, it has a strong antioxidant effect. Vitamin E helps protect the skin against harmful environmental effects, thus helping to reduce the signs of skin aging. Regular use can help maintain skin tone and firmness. It also has anti-inflammatory properties thanks to the phenolic compounds and phytosterols it contains. This can be especially helpful in treating skin problems such as acne, eczema, psoriasis or irritated skin. In addition to reducing inflammation, it soothes and relieves itching and irritation.

Although argan oil has a greasy texture, it does not clog pores. Therefore, it can also be used on acne skin, as it helps restore the skin's water balance without aggravating the problem. Provides protection against UV radiation and other external environmental influences.
